Biggins Lighting started in 1973 with a desire to outfit homes and businesses in Redding and surrounding areas with thoughtful, practical lighting solutions. We are proud to be a part of our local community and support other locally owned businesses. Today, we still carry out that mission by creating personalized lighting design plans for each of our customers.

Meet The Team
Tim & Gina Murphy
Owners
In February of 2016 Tim & Gina Murphy purchased Biggins Lighting, a family owned and operated lighting showroom, doing business since 1973.
Tim Murphy is from the Bay area and moved to Redding in 1996 while commuting weekly to the Bay area working as an electrician. In 2000, he became an electrical contractor and is the owner of Horizon Electric ever since. Gina Murphy relocated to Redding in 1987 from San Diego, and has a background in accounting.
Tim and Gina have three sons. They enjoy the great outdoors that the Redding area has to offer; RVing in the local mountains, hiking, mountain biking, and enjoying jeep rides exploring the back roads. Tim is also a member of the Sunset Rotary Club. The Murphys have been regular contributors to Make-A-Wish, Toys-4-Tots, Shasta Builders Exchange Trade School, Healing Waters, and other various community and youth organizations.
Tim and Gina’s vision and goal for Biggins Lighting is to offer the North State a “Big City Lighting Showroom with Small Town Customer Service” and competitive pricing.
Our Lighting Design Consultants
Gary Wilson
Gary has been in the electrical and lighting industry for over 42 years. He specializes in landscape lighting design as well as commercial lighting. Gary is passionate about problem solving and helping customers find exactly what they are looking for, creating a vision personalized to their specific style and need. Gary is family oriented; happily married for 39 years with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Gary was born in Redding, CA and loves everything the Redding area has to offer.
Wendy Loring
Wendy has been lighting up the North State for over 35 years. Sales has become her true passion and she is always ready for the next challenge of locating the perfect lighting fixture for her clients. Wendy has always said, “Half of the fun of my job is seeing the end results.” She recognizes that lighting is personal, and every project is unique, and to be involved in such important decisions and selections is rewarding. Wendy strives to leave customers satisfied with their lighting choices.
Allana Dupont
Allana has been with Biggins Lighting for over 20 years. She has chosen, currently, to not retire due to the love of helping people find the lighting selections unique to them. She enjoys advising customers on everything lighting; from choosing a single light bulb to outfitting the entirety of their home lighting. Allana has loved meeting so many amazing people over the years in Northern California , and looks forward to continuing on this path to brighten up the North State for years to come.
